Should you prefer to explore Loch Tay independently, we also offer canoe, sit-on-top kayak and SUP hire from April until October.
Canoe Hire: Canoes can be hired at Loch Tay Highland Lodges on a first come, first served basis (no pre-booking available).
Canoes (2-seater) can be hired for 1 hour for £30 or £45 for up to 3 hours – hire includes the boat, paddles and buoyancy aids.
Canoe Hire Availability is subject to staff availability on any given day.
Although Canadian Canoes will generally not be available to hire at Loch Tay from September to March, if you are in the area or on-site at Loch Tay Highland Lodges, pop by, and if we have staff and kit available for hire, we will hire out the equipment to you.
Paddle Board Hire: Stand Up Paddle Boards are available for hire on a first come, first served basis at Loch Tay Highland Lodges (no pre-booking available). Availability is subject to staff availability on any given day.
The price is £25 for 1 hour or £45 for up to 3 hours.
The price does not include wetsuit hire.
However, if you are hiring a SUP and also wish to hire a wetsuit, they can be hired at a discounted price of £5 (subject to availability). The standard price for hiring a wetsuit without a board is £15.
Sit-on-top (SOT) Kayak Hire: SOT Kayaks can be hired at Loch Tay Highland Lodges on a first come, first served basis (no pre-booking available).
Kayaks can be hired for 1 hour or for up to 2.5 hours – hire includes the boat, paddles, and buoyancy aids. SOT Kayak Hire Availability is subject to staff availability on any given day.
Single Kayak: 1 hour: £20, 2.5 hours: £25
Tandem Kayak: 1 hour: £40, 2.5 hours: £48
